The 3-axis CNC probe is a precise measuring device designed for use in CNC machines. It detects the position of a workpiece in space using a touch stylus that registers contact with the material surface along three axes – X, Y, and Z. This allows for accurate setting of zero points, compensation of the workpiece position, or measurement of finished parts directly in the machine. 3-axis probes are primarily used to improve the accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency of machining processes, which is especially important when manufacturing complex and precision components.
